Caveat about air travel during August

Most airports in the Northeast Corridor (Washington, DC, to Boston) are vulnerable in the summer months to delays and other service disruptions associated with thunderstorms; PHL is certainly no exception. We encourage conference attendees to anticipate potential delays in making travel arrangements.

Ground Transportation Center at PHL

Baggage claim and the pickup area for taxis, town cars, long-haul shuttles, hotel vans and parking lot shuttle buses is located on the west of the terminal. From all arrival gates, traveler’s should walk past the security and ticketing areas and proceed through the elevated walkways that cross the entrance roadway and SEPTA rail tracks, before descending to ground level by stairs or elevator to the baggage claim area.
